Text: Mark 11:25-26, Matthew 18:21-, Jeremiah 29:14, Luke 17:1
Consecration is the act of dedicating something. Unforgiveness is a SIN. It is the reason why most relationships are scattered
Those who find God are those who search for Him with all their hearts
Offense can come from anywhere—your friends, spouse, colleagues, etc. (Luke 17:1)
It is necessary to be spiritually matured
Forgiveness is a gift one can give to oneself.
You must understand the nature of any man if you want to to forgive in this world
What is unforgiveness?
- Forgiveness is the act of showing mercy and love to everyone instead of revenge (Luke 23:24)
- It is to let go so that you can let God
- It is to relieve yourself of pain, bitter
- It is displaying spiritual maturity
Dangers of unforgiveness
- Until you forgive others of their offense, God in heaven won't forgive you of yours
- It will block your prayers
- It will create room for evil spirit in your life
- It strips you of God's grace, and when you're not operating under His grace, you will experience difficult
- It is a poison that will trouble your mind and body system.
- When unforgiveness is harbored, it brings bitterness, and bitterness leads to defilement. It is capable of introducing defilement into your spirit.
- It will keep you in perpetual bondage of pain and bitterness when harbored.
- It reveals your immaturity as a Christian.
- It will hinder you from entering the gate of heaven.
- It will block the free flow of the Holy Spirit in you.
- It will restrict and incapacitate the Holy spirit in you.
- It makes your prayers ineffective
Who must we forgive?
- Yourself
- Your friends
- Your spouse
- Your parents
- Those who have betrayed you
- Your pastor
